ReMiX9 is a heart-stopping, eye-popping and musically reverent romp through some of the most delicious vocal music in the Western World. Opera Frontier’s troupe of eight revisits life’s compelling themes of love and hate, valor and greed, seduction and power -- in grand operatic style, but with more than a few charming and unexpected twists. Through inventive staging and choreography -- ranging from hip-hop to alleluia, from Bizet to Broadway – ReMiX9 re-imagines familiar operatic chestnuts for contemporary audiences, making them newly accessible for the opera fan, as well as the opera-phobe! This show aims to challenge stereotypes about opera -- and the singers who dare to commit it.
